The spokesman said that according to the plan, during the first rendezvous and docking mission, TiangongⅠ target spacecraft is set to be launched in the first place, then the ShenzhouⅧ spaceship will be launched to achieve automatic docking. The primary missions of the TiangongⅠ flight mission include: (1) provide target vehicles for space rendezvous and docking to break through and master rendezvous and docking technology; (2) initially set up manned space test platform, which can be operated without people for the long term and with man-tending for the short term, thus accumulate experience for the development of space station; (3) conduct space science experiment, space medical experiment and space technology test.

TiangongⅠ target spacecraft and CZ-2F have arrived at the test range since the end of June, respectively. The integrating test has been well underway in the technical site according to the launch procedure. CZ-2F launch vehicle has taken related improving measures to prevent launch failure which occurred during the SJ-11-04 satellite launch. After propellant filling, TiangongⅠ was integrated with launch vehicle as a complete combination. At 9 a.m. on September 20, the mobile launch platform carrying the integrated TiangongⅠ and launch vehicle combination rolled out of the VAB facility of the manned space launch site, and safely transferred to the launch tower. In the coming days, the launch site will carry out respectively the functional testing of the target spacecraft and the launch vehicle, as well as joint testing of spacecraft and launch vehicle. After the final status check and verification, the launch vehicle will be filled with propellant and choose the right moment for launch.

By now, all subsystems related to the mission are well-prepared and the work is well underway.
