On September 21, 1992, China's Manned Space Program was officially approved for implementation by the Central Committee. Over the past three decades, in accordance with the three-step development strategy defined by the Central Committee, several generations of spacemen have continued to struggle and overcome difficulties, successfully completing the first two steps of missions. They are about to complete the in-orbit construction of China's space station and fully realize the three-step development strategic mission goal. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the program, the China Manned Space Agency organized a symposium on the 30th anniversary of the program in Beijing on the morning of September 20. Nearly 100 people attended the symposium, including chief commanders, deputy chief commanders, chief designers, chief experts of space science, deputy chief designers, senior leaders and experts as well as representatives of various departments, systems, units and astronauts.

The symposium systematically reviewed the 30 years of struggle course of the Manned Space Program and comprehensively summarized the brilliant achievements and a series of landmark achievements made in core technology, application achievements, scientific management, talent team, conditions for construction, etc., especially the leapfrogging development and historic achievements the Manned Space Program has taken on under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping.

The symposium held that the 30-year construction and development of the Manned Space Program is an important part of building an innovative country and a scientific and technological power and a concrete practice of realizing the China Dream and the Space Dream, and has played an important role in demonstrating comprehensive national strength, serving national strategies, promoting scientific and technological innovation, boosting economic and social development, helping to build a community with a shared future for mankind in outer space, etc.

At the symposium, the whole program staff was encouraged to resolutely implement the strategic planning and development paths of the Manned Space Program the CPC Central Committee and President Xi determined, vigorously carry forward the spirit of "Two Bombs, One Satellite" and the spirit of China's Manned Space Program, carefully prepare, organize and implement various items to ensure the space station construction missions will be completed as planned, vigorously promote the space station application and development, give full play to the program's comprehensive benefits in politics, economy, diplomacy, science and technology, people's livelihood and other fields and make new greater contributions to the construction of a scientific and technological power and space power.
