Long March-7 Y6 Carrier Rocket Safely Delivered to Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site
2022-10-11
The Long March-7 Y6 carrier rocket carrying out the Tianzhou-5 mission completed all the research and development work before leaving the factory and arrived safely in Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site on October 11, 2022 Beijing Time. After that, the Long March-7 Y6 carrier rocket will carry out the final assembly and testing of the launch site area together with the Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft that had arrived earlier.
At present, the construction of the space station has entered the final stage. According to the plan, before the end of the year, four missions, including the Mengtian Lab Module, the flight of Tianzhou-5, the flight of Shenzhou-15 and the return of Shenzhou-14, will be implemented to complete the construction of the space station. Currently, the flight products for the above-mentioned missions have all entered the field. Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site 2 rockets and 2 modules (spacecraft) are tested in the field at the same time. Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center simultaneously prepares for the launch and recovery of manned spacecraft. The communication systems for tracking, telemetry and command on the land and the sea and in the sky keep all-weather monitoring to ensure the safe and stable operation of the space station. Shenzhou-14 astronauts have finished half of their in-orbit "trip", and the Shenzhou-15 crew is intensifying their training. The steadily conducted space science experiments have achieved phased results.
In the face of the mission situation of multiple missions being pushed forward, parallel development in multiple directions, and multiple teams gathering on the front line, the whole Manned Space Program staff will give full play to the advantages of the whole nation system, vigorously carry forward the "four special" Manned Space Program spirits, take the overall situation as a whole, unite together, carefully prepare, organize and implement various items and go all out to ensure the complete success of major missions, ensure that the "three-step" strategic goal of the Manned Space Program is completed as scheduled, and welcome the Party's 20th National Congress with the practical actions of finishing the space station construction missions firmly and smoothly.
