Chinese astronauts invite young students to do experiments with them
According to the China Manned Space Agency, the third class from the "Tiangong Classroom" is scheduled to begin at 3:45 p.m. on October 12. The Shenzhou-14 astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe will give a space class to young students. China Media Group will broadcast it live to the whole world.
The space teaching activity will continue to be conducted in the way of space-ground interaction. Three in-orbit astronauts will introduce and display their working and living scenes in the Wentian Lab Module of China Space Station, showcase the capillary action experiment, the "lazy" water ball experiment, the scene of drinking water with a super-long straw, a wrench that can turn around in the microgravity environment, introduce the plant growth research projects, and interact with the students on the ground (attached with the introduction to the teaching contents), aiming to spread and popularize the knowledge of manned space flight and stimulate their interest in science.
Since the launch of the "Tiangong Classroom", two space classes have been successfully held, evoking a number of good responses. In the early class content collection activity, various circles of society, especially young students, actively offered advice and suggestions through the news media, www.xuexi.cn and the official website of the Manned Space Program, bringing about quite a number of amazing creative designs, which will be displayed in this class and subsequent activities.
Chinese astronauts will sincerely invite students to carry out related experiments on the ground, perceive the differences between space and Earth, and discover the fun derived from such explorations.
