Hainan Launch Center is designed for carrying out the launching of Tiangong capsule and Tianzhou cargo spaceship. Its main mission is to test and launch carrier rockets, spaceship, space station, payloads and astronauts’ spaceship-mounted equipment on the launching site and provide relevant support. Hainan Launching Site project, planned and developed as being the world’s first-class, modernized, ecological, and in open-style, was initiated in Aug., 2007, started construction in May, 2010, and put into service in 2014.
