Jiuquan Launch Center is designed for carrying out launch mission for manned spaceship and space laboratory. Its principal mission is to test and launch carrier rockets, spaceships, space laboratory, payloads, and astronauts’ spacecraft-mounted equipment system on the launching site, and provide relevant support. Jiuquan Manned Space Launch Site, officially put into service in 1998, adopts the world-classed “vertical assembly, vertical testing and vertical transport” strategy as well as remote test-launch-control mode.
